What are Bioplastics?

Bioplastics are made, not from petroleum, but from renewable biomass sources. These sources can include vegetable oil, various plant starches, and by-products from trees. Some bioplastics, including all those made by DaniMer, are also biodegradable. This combination of sustainability and degradability makes bioplastics perfect for many of the everyday uses of petroleum-derived disposable plastics, such as packaging and food service items.
